Your eyes don’t deceive you—Pampshade’s lamps are, in fact, made out of bread. Each one is baked in Japan, hollowed out, then finished off with a bulb on the inside and a stay-fresh coating all over. It’s all the handiwork of artist Yukiko Morita, who fell head over heels for bread while working in a bakery. (We’d say that love really shines through.)

Love it

So cute

This bread lamp is the second that I’ve purchased (I also have the croissant lamp). It’s such a neat concept! The lamp itself is much smaller than the picture, maybe 3/4 of the size of that piece shown. It has a push button underneath for illumination as well. Please be aware that while it states batteries are included, they are not.

This is weird and great

It’s a real piece of bread that glows softly from within. What could be weirder or better than that? It has a little hanger on the back so it can hang on the wall. I love it. You will too. Buy it.

Incredibly adorable!!

This light is even cuter in person. It’s very hard and smooth to the touch…let’s off this warm glow. I will be buying myself one soon, as this one is for my mother in law! Genius idea 🥐

Perfect gift for croissant lover

My mom loves it and was so surprised by it being a real croissant. She is a picky eater and croissants are a safe food for her so this was really perfect and brings her a lot of joy.

This little bread lamp brings me joy as it hangs out on my home office desk while I have my morning cup of tea. Well made and seems quite durable.

A gift that wows.

I bought three as gifts for kids and an adult and all were wowed by this unique piece of functional and amusing art.
Only thing: I wish it plugged into the wall like a real nightlight. It would be perfect. Also if it’ came with a battery
