k the bowl. But then again, I have glass mixing bowls I've never broken.
There was a little surprise with this. It is actually four pieces - the cover, the plastic spin tray, the glass bowl, and a clear plastic insert in the bottom of the bowl. That clear plastic insert is well designed - easy to remove and easy to clean (think clear dinner plate), but it has to be there for the spinner to work (and should be removed if serving salad in this).
The plunger on the top is big and easy to use. There is an optional use clip that holds the plunger down for storage. Not the easiest to use, but it works. And a push button brake to stop the spinning quickly. Other than the brake and storage clip, this works great for somebody with limited hand motion.
Something utilitarian, that shouldn't be this expensive, or big, or heavy, is absolutely well worth it. Read LessRead less about Oh this is probably the nicest salad
r break, plus you can use it for serving. The bowl is definitely not plastic like one review says but of course, the other components still are. Read LessRead less about I use a salad spinner daily, sometimes
