cription had indicated they may reduce drying times, I was amazed at the dramatic difference I found in drying times because everything is being continuously fluffed and separated. My sheets and clothing aren't getting tangled so there is much less wrinkling too. Do expect extra lint at first, and sometimes the balls will get caught in things like sleeves but these are very minor hassles. They should be replaced when you see shredding, loosening, or raveling of the outer felt layer. The ball will have become softer and larger making it less effective in keeping the wet laundry from clumping.
